Big Wonder
Male, Brindle: Wonder is a very handsome man. His face markings are beautiful. He weighs 75 lbs,and was born May 04. He passed his "cat Friendly" test with only a minimal amount of curiousity.
Profile (9/15/08)
Wonder is a very good eater, very active and playful, friendly and an outgoing greyhound. He can climb stairs without difficulty, has no separation anxiety, barks when he sees something in the distance and is definitely an alpha male.
He has slight sleep startle and needs to be talked to before approaching him when he's asleep. I don't think he'd do good in a house with small children.
He knows all his commands, walks on hard surfaces but has trouble sitting on hard surfaces. He has not been taught to "speak" yet. He does a trick of rolling over and playing dead when you say "Bang".
Wonder will be a good guard dog (yes, that's what I said about a greyhound,,,I've only met a few that are this way, my RUnner for one!" He lets me know if anyone is around that he doesn't know.
He loves affection, likes to take walks and plays well with other female dogs. He does not get along that great with male dogs as he wants to dominate. He should not be let off lead without a muzzle around other male dogs as he wants to show, he's top dog!
His new owner will need to show him who is "topdog" in the family and he will make a great companion dog. He's really a great big wimp!
